PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Mapheox Nimbus rod is made for drone fishing. Built with Mapheox Game Blanks consisting of a perfect balance of 30t and 40t carbons, the rod is designed by drone anglers for drone anglers.
From the position of the reel seat to the action of the blank, these rods are balanced for droning in mind. The blank is soft enough that your grapnel sinkers don’t release when you are setting the right tension but strong enough to deadlift 20kg even on a 45 degree angle. The reel seat is situated low enough that you don’t need to stress your arms by reaching for your reel but not too low that your reel is in an uncomfortable position.
The Overhead version is built with a strong aluminium reel seat with a flat foothold to stop your reel from moving side to side. The Spin version is built with the reputable Fuji reel seat to hold any size game reel.
Both versions use stainless steel Fuji Alconite K series guides, have locking nuts to secure your reel in place and Fuji rubber gimbal butts. All our rods are under and over bound and built on the backbone.
