PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Samurai Egi rod range of three 7'6 spinning rods are custom designed for high-end egiing. The rods cover jigs from finesse 1.5s all the way through to larger 3.5 sized jigs. The rod is built with a multi-taper to ensure the rod is able to absorb the lunging runs of larger squid without pulling the hooks. The tip of the rod remains light and whip sharp, imparting crucial instant action to the jig as soon as the angler imparts any movement. The Samurai Egi rods are a custom-built version of our proprietary triple layer blank. The blank we created has three layers, the bottom and top layer are angled in opposition to each other. The middle layer is laid vertically.
We experimented with the angles in a new carbon cloth technology until we settled on the perfect combination, maximising resilience, flexibility, and striking force. As a result, the blank works along its entire length. We have reduced twisting and have enabled the blank to transfer energy and power immediately down the line with little to no loss of force. Less fatigue for you and a shorter fight time for the squid.
